Dr. Chon completed his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine from Pennsylvania State University. He was immediately accepted into medical school and earned his medical degree from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea.

To complete his training, Dr. Chon went through an internal medicine residency at Harbor Hospital Center in Baltimore, followed by his fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Michigan State University’s Ingham Medical Center in Lansing. He even completed critical care medicine training at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Dr. Chon is a fellow of the College of Chest Physicians. Throughout his career, Dr. Chon specialized in pulmonology and critical care. He previously served as an intensivist at Church Hospital in Baltimore, then as a pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist at the practice of G.S. Rath, MD, PA.

Patients have plenty of options for treatment with Dr. Chon. He's affiliated with the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, the Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, and the Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington.
